Steve’s got a new comedy short film rolling out to festivals. “The Day Keeper” stars Steve and was co-written by Steve and director Mark Kiefer. The world premiere was at Indy Shorts in July, followed by the Woods Hole Film Festival, the Mystic Film Festival, New York Shorts International Film Festival, and more. Upoming festivals include the Naples International Film Festival and others to be announced!


 

In addition to his new album, Steve’s tossing out musical comedy hors d’ouevres on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook!

Steve’s February 8th industrial musicals extravaganza at Palm Desert’s McCallum Theatre was a fantastic night of amazing live music, choreography, comedy, and dazzling visuals! Read the glowing review!


 

Steve plays J.J. Edgar in Ryan Martin Brown’s indie feature comedy Free Time, currently on the film festival circuit and slated for 2024 distribution by Cartilage Films.


 

Steve’s doing his one-man industrial musicals film show again! For the first time since the pandemic, he’s booking dates around the country. Check out his live show page for details!


 

Steve’s teaching another comedy writing workshop at the terrific Woods Hole Film Festival in early August. No Zoom this time — live in-person in beautiful Woods Hole on Cape Cod!


Since early May, Steve has been on the picket lines with thousands of his fellow Writers Guild of America members, fighting for a fair contract. (UPDATE: SUCCESS!)


Steve has been performing his songs! At Urban Stages in December ’22, he co-hosted Meg & Steve’s Comedy Party and was part of the NY Songwriters Alliance “Art of Collaboration” show.

Another win for one of the short films Steve wrote, produced, and acted in! Thanks, CIFF ’22!


A fun branded content comedy bit Steve wrote for Ugly Stik, the fishing equipment company, starring their favorite bass fisherman, Matt Robertson.


A song that Steve co-wrote with Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz (“Wicked,” “Godspell,” “Pippin” etc) was recorded by Kristin Chenoweth for her new holiday album — and she performed it in concert at New York’s Metropolitan Opera House!


The two comedy short films Steve recently made in New Mexico with Bathtubs Over Broadway director Dava Whisenant are now on the film festival circuit. Photo Op won the International Grand Prize at the 2021 Très Court Film Festival, and Brief Survey won the Jury Award for Best Comedy Short at the 2021 Sonoma International Film Festival.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Steve taught a 3 day comedy symposium organized by the Woods Hole Film Festival in February 2021.


Steve’s screenplay, Sunny Los Angeles, was a finalist in the 2020 Nantucket Film Festival Showtime Tony Cox Screenplay Competition!
